Seeing 100s of hilarious takes on the Mark Sanchez butt fumble and the Trey Wingo burnt steak solidified sports Twitter for me in the early days.
One huge reason:
Non-chronological being the default made it useless for sports, and whether non-sports people ever realized it or not, sports were what MADE Twitter in the first place.
