Here’s a gift from me to you.

A poem titled "Lament"

Two verses, repeating like grief does, inspired by The Song of Achilles.

New blog post: Seasonal Imagery Fatigue.
When summer stops being an image and starts being a pressure on rhythm, patience, and attention. Some poems resist the postcard version of the season and let heat shape the writing instead.

A great way to start a new month is to get an acceptance from @the-engine-idling.bsky.social ! Keep an eye out for my new poem 'Deadname' in their eighth issue: 'collage!'

Eighty-five poems in eight years. Not drafts. Not scraps. Not “maybe one day” lines. Eighty-five full poems written since 2018.
And I’ve only been submitting for publication for the last three of those years. So, here’s to the next poem. And the next. And the next.

Can anyone recommend some essays / books on horror tropes in literature? I would like to stock up on some more ✨selective✨ readings, as I've nearly finished all of my current tbr horror books, and I have ✨ideas✨...

My New Years Resolutions For 2026:
- Write more frequently
- Finish my short story/novelette
- Get more poems published
- Save up enough to get the chest tattoo I want
- Double down on my mullet
- Become even more of a cryptid to my house-mates
you know... normal things to want

poets be like "yeah i know a place" and it's a romanticized view of a gas station at 2am on a long drive to another city where your eyes soften on the fog and squint at the burning fluorescent lights in the interior of the convenience store inside...what was i talking about again

It's always someone's dream to open a bookstore; but genuinely, I just want to start a bunch of local outreach programs to teach people how to make zines, write poetry & short stories. I want to organise reading nights for poetry and fiction that happen more than once a month, have interviews, etc

the single greatest piece of writing advice i can give is to read your writing out loud. all of it. start to finish. it's the fastest way you can learn to hear what sounds natural and what doesn't.

one of my favourite things to do is head to a not-so-nearby second-hand bookstore; buy a few books on poetry or writing that have already been annotated by their previous owner/s, and engage with their comments in the margins.

aaaaaaah! I want a friend group of poets to talk to! I want a discord server dedicated to writing and discussing poetry! I want regular online meetings to share our favourite poems, our recent publications, and our works in progress! I am longing, impatient and aching...

Currently reading You Will Find Your Way by Naomi Arnold. I’ve been annotating, underlining, writing back; turning reading into a conversation, not consumption.

If you’re still writing the same thing, maybe it’s because it isn’t finished with you yet.
A piece on repetition, creative patience, and unfinished work.

December belongs to poetry. To reflection, nostalgia, and endings that don’t quite close.
I’ve put together a December poetry reading list; poems for looking back gently, and forward without certainty.

Read it on Sleeping Eurydice, Link in BIO.

Not my usual style, but this poem slipped out while I was sat at a friend’s house, opera playing in the background, and voices drifting over it. Moving and settling in has slowed my writing, but sometimes inspiration sneaks in quiet and unexpected.

Haven't written any poems in a while. Mostly due to starting back at Uni and beginning to write "When Paradise Fades".
However, I've mostly finished moving into my new place, so hopefully I'll start having some more time to write now!

I’ve been deep in the outlining process for When Paradise Fades. Each chapter is scaffolded by small, intimate moments that fold into something stranger. It forgets what it was and becomes something else. Just like Laira.

One of my poems in @MagResurrection 's new issue, , "Wakeful Dreams," was written after a nightmare. As such, the poem has a really fun final line.
