The most important question I ask myself when planning class activities (either online or f2f): “Would I want to do this activity if I were a student?” If the answer is no, I don’t assign it in class. #highered #teachingandlearning #collegeteaching #universityteaching #SoTL

Student mental health alert: It is “turkey drop” season — fall semester is when most breakups happen on college/uni campuses. Now is a great time to be extra compassionate and believe students when they are struggling. For many it is the first big breakup of their lives.
