We were excited to see Chinese New Year provocations and books in the playroom today. We discussed what happens during the celebrations and helped to make a dragon with Ann in the art area 🎨 🐉

Yesterday we celebrated pancake day 🥞 we helped to make the batter and learned how to be safe as Nadine cooked them. We said they were delicious and some of us even got to take them home to enjoy 🥞 😋

We discussed our story of the moment. We wanted to create the three little pigs brick house because the wolf can’t blow that one down. We used salt dough to make lots of bricks and let them dry. We then positioned the bricks with glue to create houses using good problem solving and team work🏠

We have been interested in tracing pictures recently and were excited to see Nadine had brought in torches for us to explore shadows with items we found in nursery. We chose an item and were able to take our time to follow around the lines the shadow created on the paper 🔦 ❤️

Thank you to our lovely parents who joined us for Big Cook Little Cook. We made some yummy rock cakes and loved using our hands to combine the mixture. They all looked delicious, well done ❤️

We had fun today exploring colour mixing using syringes and pipettes. We dropped food colouring onto cotton pads to see how the colours changed. Lots of colour recognition, discussing changes that happened and developing our fine motor skills. Some of us noticed the numbers on the syringes too 🌈

Today we used different colours of tape to create tartan pictures. We developed our fine motor skills using the scissors and tape to create different patterns 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We discussed tartan and looked at material in the art area. We made our own pattern using strips of paper. We were very proud of our tartan pictures when we were finished and liked seeing them on display🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our last family breakfast of the year was a huge success 🥐 🍞 🍇 🫐 The children enjoyed a slow start to their morning with breakfast alongside their family member and then a little play with them afterwards. It was a wonderful morning with lots of lovely interactions #PEEP #ParentalEngagment

A very fun and wholesome afternoon at our Christmas mini market on Friday. Lots of lovely interactions between the children and their family members. There were so many happy faces! Thank you to our parents for their contributions to our fundraising! It is very much appreciated 🎅🏻💰
