Laleman's law of IT: The next email will be directly related to the application you just closed.

Corollary: The network will go down while the director is out of office.

MLB needs to ban the in-game interview.

I don't know who's walking around on Amtrak without shoes on, but when they announced the dining car was open, it was literally the first thing dude said...you must be wearing shoes.

Say no to drugs and yes to tacos.

I hate all the dumb sounds they play at Yankee Stadium. Get an organ like a proper ballpark.

The two most frustrating things about working in IT are 1) when people give you little to no information (XYZ isn't working) and 2) when other IT support people ask you for information you've already given them. I'm looking at you Adobe.

My Pandora is trying to tell me to chill. Between problems at work and the state of the world, I needed this 5:20 reminder.

When it's IT professionals day and your network slows to a crawl for a couple of hours for unknown reasons, no one wishes you a happy anything. They just want to know why their Internet is so slow.

Seems like it's time, again, to remind everyone that the 1st amendment of the Constitution guarantees the right to freedom of speech. That means the government shouldn't be able to punish you for something you say. It DOES NOT guarantee you the right to employment.

Love the jersey Rizz is wearing today, signed by all the kids he visited in the hospital who were battling cancer. Also love that it's a pre-nike jersey. Wish I could be at this game today.

Ok, so ESPN is buying MLB.tv, but are they eliminating the stupid blackout rules? How about the BS where I have to pay for another service to watch some of the games (looking at you Peacock and AppleTV).

Health insurance went up 7.5%, paycheck only went up 3%. That's a pay cut folks.

How is it that MLB, with a 162 game schedule, can get next year's schedule out while the current season is in progress, but the NBA, with half as many games, can't get theirs out until 2 months before the season starts?

I think MLB has jumped the shark with this game at Bristol Motor Speedway. Field of Dreams makes sense. Negro league ballpark makes sense. Little league WS game makes sense. This doesn't make any sense. It's a terrible venue, and even mother nature doesn't want the game to happen.

I was watching the Ryno tribute tonight, and they showed a ticket stub from The Sandberg Game in June of 1984. A bleacher seat for that game was $3. Min wage in 1984 was $3.35/hr. Can you imagine working a min wage job and being able to go to a major league game for less than 1 hour of work?

The greatest second baseman the Cubs have ever had, and maybe the greatest in the game, now has season tickets to watch the Angels play. Rest in peace, Ryno

Dave Roberts pulling Freddy Freeman mid-inning so he can get a curtain call with the Atlanta fans is such a classy move. The MLB all-star game is the most real and most competitive among the four major league spots.

This picture from the water was taken with my back to the Cade Loop bridge in Ingram, TX when I went fishing up there at the beginning of June. The rod dot marks the spot of the photo in the satellite image taken after the July 4 flooding. Just devastating. My heart goes out to everyone up there.

What I did instead of going to #iste
July 12, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I skipped #iste this year, even though it was in my hometown. Why? It was scheduled during the week of July 4, which is a week later than usual, and when my family usually takes a vacation. Also, it was $800 to register. No thanks.

I was today years old when I learned that a sac fly doesn't count as an at-bat, and therefore does not count against a player's batting average.

MLB needs to end their ridiculous blackout rules. I live 5 hours from Dallas, but can't watch the Cubs/Rangers game on the MLB TV app that I PAY MLB MONEY FOR.

I don't get the ed tech conferences that are now charging nearly $1000 to register. What economic landscape are they living in? Skipping ISTE this summer and it's IN MY HOMETOWN. No travel costs. And I'm in a dist that's growing! How are educators frm poor/shrinking dists supposed to afford them?

I can only imagine the conversation at Fox sports. "Super bowl is in New Orleans. Should we get Emeril for the food segment?" "Nah...get that foreign guy who yells at other chefs"
