I finally made it here too” She extended her hand. “Here, let me help you,” she said as she pulled him into a sitting position, then handed him his cane. “Can you stand?” “I think so,” he said, as he painfully pulled himself up with her help, his whole body shaking with effort and the aches of several blossoming bruises. Sky started to pick up his scattered books and notes. “I can carry this for you, where were you headed?” Viktor’s stomach clenched. “Oh no! I do have to go, I have a lecture to hold!” He took a step and almost fell over again, as a searing pain shot from his left ankle all the way through the leg. He had to lean on Sky to stand.
