Think of all the artists who just post commissions. That's all they ever have time for. You don't know what they like or who their OCs are because they're always working.

if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create

Giving up coffee is going to be so difficult but I really can't handle these random all-nighters anymore. Healthy sleep schedules are fun and sexy and worth endeavoring to maintain.

Sadly all I have time for today but I tried to focus on studying the nose and eye form with some very basic shading. From imagination, no ref. Not terrible, but need to go back and study how the brows actually sit on the head x.x

My birthday is this month and I decided to upgrade my drawing tablet from the XP-Pen Artist 12 to the 15.6 Pro. I was expecting a little bit of a size increase but this is *huge* and I'm so happy

Working on facial features in perspective this week before moving onto facial expressions. Soon my characters won't be so stone-faced all the time.
Then we move right down to neck shoulders and onto torso. The goal is to get through the entire body before artfight.

Had to delay till this morning, but haircut was a success! I feel *so* much better
So I’m getting a haircut today, and it’s the first time in over a decade that i’m not cutting my hair myself after an awful experience at a salon.

I'm going to not worry so much about making finished art right now and focus on studies. My goal for this year is to spend Jan-Apr studying harcore and then begin the OC Art Grind before ArtFight in July and I'm sticking to that.

I may be slow getting back to art this week thanks to gluten. I don't recommend having celiac, its 0/10 not fun.

So I'm scrapping this because I genuinely can't stand how I'm using color. It isn't something I've really studied yet and I think its time I changed that before I attempt another illustration. But, the line art ate tbh
