firered and leafgreen being standalone purchases makes sense simply because the nso apps (nes, snes, gb, gba, n64, gamecube) don't save the save data of each individual game by itself, it's all in one big dumb file per app.
this would make transferring pokemon to home impossible

wouldn't it be super fucked up if they implied that tangle and whisper will be voiced in the next chaotix casefiles episode only for the next episode to just have vector go "so tangle and whisper were just here a moment ago and they said..." and those 2 never actually speak.
