Now that we're a few days into December and our first snow has stuck to my yard. The one thing that I look forward to the most is that most beautiful day of the season - and that's the Escape From Tarkov wipe day. Christmas is a close second though

It's not that serious. Have you gotten paid to do voice acting? Have you spent money on a good mic or sound treatment? Have you been recording scripts for YT? Have you been putting in auditions? Have you been networking? If you said yes to any of these then it's official. You're a professional VA
Voice Actors can fall into two categories. Professional VA's and "Aspiring" VA's. The only difference is that "Aspiring" VA's don't know that they probably already do what Professional VA's do. Don't undersell yourself. You don't need to be in major media to be a professional

This isn't a slight at deep voiced male VAs btw. It's an observation I've made from being in the community for 5+ years now. It's a curse rather than a blessing tbh and it inadvertently casts a shadow on other incredible VA's because the algorithm trends toward what's popular and consistent
There is a phenomenon among male voice actors that I call the "Deep Voice Male Syndrome". It is where a male VA can be moderately successful and popular because of their deep voice. They usually end up relying on it as a crutch and limit their potential by not doing any actual *acting*

One of my players is playing a Poppet, which is essentially a living doll. And I mean actually living with a soul and everything, not just animated. It's a porcelain doll of a little girl with blonde hair and a pink dress, her name is D but everyone calls her Deedee. She terrifies the other PCs
