Heartbreak again for the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen. Maybe he is never destined to make it to the Super Bowl.
The Bills cursed it seems, a long history of disappointment stretching back decades.

Not sure why I overlooked Handsome Guys 핸섬가이즈 (2024) when it was playing at CGV Buena Park by Regency Theaters. Absolutely loved it.
Utterly mad, barnstorming film. Review on my site - stephenkasiewicz.wordpress.com - soon.

A tired, unimaginative display but a victory nevertheless for Napoli. Rrahmani injury a real concern. Some less than impressive individual displays. Yet after drawing games they should have won, the Partenopei held on as Sassuolo pressed for a leveller in the second half.
January 17, 2026 at 6:57 PM
Don't watch Sassuolo often. Probably should just for Josh Doig. Really accomplished first half display at Napoli. A certainty for Scotland's World Cup squad, he's really improved over the last few seasons.
January 17, 2026 at 5:57 PM
Despite all the injuries, which have been mentioned countless times, Napoli should have more than enough to find a way past teams like Parma and Sassuolo. Another lacklustre half. Vergara promising at least. Lack of pace in defence evident again. A rare, well taken Lobotka goal.

Virtus Entella players celebrating like they won. Samp draw yet again, a cycle of discombulation and disappointment. Questionable tactics, poor set-pieces and an inability to create chances, despite Cherubini's wonderful solo effort. Samp still in a desperate position.
January 16, 2026 at 9:28 PM
Of course Virtus Entella equalise and they deserve it.
Sampdoria as unfathomable as ever. Great header.
January 16, 2026 at 9:04 PM
In a pretty miserable first half Cherubini scores Sampdoria's goal of the season. Terrific slaloming run and finish off the post. Virtus Entella have been the better team, but an individual moment of brilliance gives the Blucerchiati the lead.
January 16, 2026 at 8:09 PM
Three years of terrible transfer window deals have derailed Sampdoria. From Serie A to the bottom of the second tier. Cautiously optimistic about the additions of Esposito, Brunori, Palma and Viti. Another must win against Virtus Entella. Live and free on @destinationcalcio.bsky.social now.

Two excellent McTominay goals earn a point for Napoli in a game which exposed a lot of central defensive vulnerability.
Inter will be disappointed not to extend their lead at the top of Serie A. No clear title favourite at this stage after an exciting, error filled match.
January 11, 2026 at 9:48 PM
McTominay again. Brilliant cross from Noa Lang. It's been such an underwhelming display, especially from the Napoli starting back three, but McTominay delivers when it matters.
January 11, 2026 at 9:30 PM
Regardless of his midfield position Scott McTominay scores another goal in a big game. Those who wrote him off made to look foolish yet again. Napoli haven't played well at all but somehow level at Inter.

What a ridiculous situation for a club with such a proud history.

I can barely watch Samp!
Probably my naive optimism but I think they will just about survive again in B.
How bad have Bari been this season?
January 10, 2026 at 5:47 PM
Even when Sampdoria take a tentative step forward they continue to stumble. Another defeat at Avellino, more atrocious defending. Some decent January additions, especially Esposito, but a central defender desperately required, whether that's Viti or someone else. Another tortuous loss today.

The great Attilio Lombardo is 60 today. One of my all-time favourite players going back to the Football Italia days and beyond. I wrote this for

Only surprise is that it took Celtic so long to dismiss Nancy. Without exaggeration the worst manager in club history. Tisdale responsible for some awful recruitment. A complete overhaul required throughout the club.
January 5, 2026 at 4:53 PM
Sampdoria actually win a game. An elusive victory. Maybe this season won't be a complete disaster - in a football sense - after all. Anything can happen in Serie B, but probably a tad optimistic to hope for the play-offs.

Watched the Padova-Sampdoria highlights. Brilliant strike from Coda, Samp's only real striker, but chances missed again. Progress is avoiding defeat sadly. The January window once again crucial if Doria are going to avoid the drop. Such an underwhelming campaign in every respect so far.
