Do you know what I never hear mentioned when it comes to underrepresented authors? Survivors of modern slavery & human trafficking, child s*xual abuse, domestic violence, s*xual exploitation. I'm here for this group. I'm a survivor & I want to stand by others trying to navigate getting published ❤️
I added a new opening to my Historical Fiction after feedback. It's a tragic love story w/a love-triangle. It now opens at the end of the story. FMC is at a mass grave. The man she loved is buried w/rebels. Cuts to 3 months earlier & picks up where original opener was.

Your writing prompt for today. I had a dream last night that the native pollinators launched an assault on eco-genocidal humanity. It was so beautiful 🥹 the wasps joined forces with the honey bees. They set aside their years of robbing and pillaging to come together against a greater enemy.

I started writing fiction after getting trauma therapy for C-PTSD. Has it helped? Well...no. Now I have to add my laptop & manuscript & writing notes to the mental list of things to save in a catastrophic event. After the kids of course...😅

I can't believe no one has picked up my niche Irish historical fiction/romance set in 1798 which was the last time Protestants & Catholics united against tyranny & before the crown & other groups were able to create division that eventually led to the Troubles yet.

If someone handed you £100 & you wanted to invest in yourself as an unpublished writer...what would you spend it on? It's not really a lot but it's more than I had to invest in myself yesterday!

7 years ago my husband & I bought a 250 year old house full of books which came with the sale. There were so many it took me a week to sort through them all & we donated many to charity. There still aren't enough book cases for them & there's random book piles in every room. I'm book wealthy 🤣

I had a dream a while ago... that all the literary agents had been abducted & replaced by AI, and the AI was just full on gaslighting authors & making us go through a digital/psychological battle royale & sometimes I think about that. 🤔
