The AFL wanting things like the Rankine suspension to follow a week of dialogue between club and league is no good. Just tell Adelaide how long he’s out for, don’t enter into negotiations.

Tom Lynch pretty clearly shouldn’t have done what he did and was bloody lucky he missed, but I’m not sure how you argue severe impact given the Adelaide guy got up with a big smile on his face.

Reckon the best thing I’ve done online in ages is get behind @finalwordcricket.bsky.social and join their Patreon group, their WTC Final coverage was unreal. If you’re into cricket and can spare some cash every month, fling it their way - they’re tops.
