Arrived in the UK yesterday after my first day flight from Cape Town ✈️ ... Stayed at the Gatwick Yotel last night in a one person pod, very funky. Very convenient for the flight, right next to Wetherspoons as well 👍 🍻

A good days writing yesterday. Currently into the 3rd year of my semi autobiographical story of a young computer programmer from the 1990's. The plan was to cover my 33 years in IT, at this rate the book will be over 6000 pages long. I may need to do some editing !!

Watched "Mixtape" on the BBC iPlayer. Quite interesting story with a few twists, sometimes predictable at times but had an excellent sound track from the 80s and 90s 🎵🎶🎵

Another win for the Hammers yesterday, 2-0 away at Burnley. This was amazing in itself but to also keep a clean sheet as well was doubly so. The Premiership dream is still alive. #COYI ⚒️

Raspberry Pi day today. First task is getting all my Pi's up to the latest version, Debian 13 Trixie. First 1, my digital clock Pi Zero. It was 2 levels back so it means a new SD card with the latest image and then migration of backed up code to get it back working again. #raspberrypi

If anybody is looking for something different to watch I recommend "Landman" with Billy Bob Thornton who is brilliant in it. The story has the right mixture of humor, sadness and action. The characters are all strong in their own way and relatable to despite the Texas oil fields setting. 🛢️
