A segment of text from the unpublished romance novel Guarded, which reads: "Stay here," he ordered, "I'll go see what's going on. Don't draw attention. We're far enough away that he might not have noticed you're in the car." I rolled my eyes. "Don't bother. That's Jason." Shit. I was supposed to bring him a check with his portion of the money in the account I never got a chance to close down. Oz eyed me with an unreadable expression. "You sure you know him?" "I do," I said heavily. "That's my husband." "Husband? You told the police you live alone." "Oh yeah, I do," I said, closing my eyes. "He's actually my ex-husband. We were together a long time and I guess I'm still getting used to saying ex-husband. But he's definitely an ex." Oz continued looking at me as if looking for an answer to a question of his own. Finally he huffed, "Alright hold on a second, I'm coming with you." He tucked the gun into a pocket I hadn't noticed on his belt. Some kind of holster I guess, that left the grip of the gun easily visible. Oh Jason was going to love this. I giggled.

An excerpt from the unpublished book Guarded that reads: “Oz dipped his hip and brought his left arm down to block me, sweeping a hand under the inside of my knee before I’d registered what happened. My breath caught. Not breaking eye contact, my head swimming with whiskey and adrenaline and emotions I couldn’t process, I put my hand out to steady myself and found that I had grabbed his bicep at the edge of his shirt sleeve. His skin was soft and his muscle rock hard under my hand. I gasped at the contact. And suddenly his right arm swept down, looping under my other knee and he was holding me, forearms under my thighs and hands on my ass with my legs open to him around his waist. Through my thin leggings I could feel the grip of every one of his fingers on me. And then, he gently set me down on my feet. “I’m so sorry,” he said quietly. “I shouldn’t have behaved so unprofessionally.”

The Title Page of the Agents Guide. The title of the book is THE STOLEN IDOL by Christopher Lee. It is a 86K word YA Fantasy. The Pitch: Winning a jousting tournament should be easy for a centaur, and it is, until the false horse head falls off Fotini’s shoddy disguise. She quickly steals the tournament prize, a golden idol, and gallops toward the forest ripping off her heavy jousting armor to outrun the tournament guards. When she arrives home to fulfill her contract, she discovers she accidentally ditched the idol with her disguise. Along with two fellow thieves, she retraces her steps praying the idol is still there. Hopefully it wasn’t cracked, or worse, found by a disgusting human. Seventeen-year-old Jaimie Whitfield is accused of being a fae changeling, a creature who kidnaps children and assumes their form. If he does not escape, he will be executed for impersonating himself.
