It's long past time for state and federal authorities alike to put an end to Stephen Miller's jerkoff fantasy of masked thugs kidnapping people of color off the street with impunity.

Yes, there are Americans who want this. But they are a woefully small minority. Why are we still letting it happen?
A Naperville man was hauled away by federal immigration agents Thursday morning as his two sons watched, the older boy begging them not to hurt his father and tearfully asking for a chance to speak to him before they left.

Any law that declares 11 million people living, working, raising families, and paying taxes "illegal" and deserving to be sent to concentration camps is genocidal and inherently a crime against humanity.

For years, execs and managers were able to get away with pretending to do some kind of job - and AI has greatly accelerated their ability to pretend.

Unfortunately, that led to garbage strategy and garbage execution. The "find out" phase of this AI-driven FAFO era is promising to be brutal.
The AI Hangover Era (The Everything App Part 3)
Some leaders are starting to realize the extent to which AI has broken their ability to prioritize and ship value. Others are still doubling down.

Writing code is such a small part of a software engineer's job if AI is a threat you're doing something wrong.

You no longer need to be a software engineer to build software — you can "vibe code" it by prompting chatbots to build apps and websites. Could that put programmers out of a job?
Anyone can use AI chatbots to 'vibe code.' Could that put programmers out of a job?

The perverse idea that computer science exists in some pure crystalline form outside human experience.
The Harvard comp sci prof who argued in NYT that other professors need to be apolitical like he is works for OpenAI and wrote a op-ed last year about how he feels discriminated against because he’s Israeli.
Assuming he always kept all Israel-Palestine politics out of his class, AI is very political.

A bunch of tech CEOs are talking about being “AI-first”, the latest in a series of CEO fads like “return to office”, “founder mode” and “pivot to full fascism”. This one’s weird, though, because it only makes sense if… none of their workers are great at their jobs. anildash.com/2025/04/19/a...
