you have to believe that love pays off in your personal practice even if it's unquantifiable. love, moreso than skill, does not generate an easily defined product. the love you put into something is not wasted even if you cannot see immediately "where it went." love artmaking for the sake of art.

Whether it matters or not I'm a little sad Blue Prince didn't get any big scene recognition last night. It has such an extraordinary atmosphere, it's clever and flawed and dizzying and my brain is very much not made for it - but it's a wonderful trip and absolutely my favourite game this year
