I spend about 1 day a week going through all the Akari submissions, deciding which ones to show and emailing people about their upcoming puzzles. For the next bit I'm planning on spending some time to find a better process for that. It might just involve making an app for myself 🤔

Daily Akari: If you are a Japanese player playing in English, the share message should now use the browser language by default. If you want your share message to stay in English, you can disable that behaviour in the settings!

Daily Akari: Sorry for all the changes to the share messages lately! As we keep adding support for new languages I wanted to change the share message to help everyone feel included, and it's been tough to balance all the aspects of that.

Daily Akari: Updated No. 380's difficulty to "Hard" and 376 to "Very Hard"!
We also updated the share message to change with the language setting and added the puzzle number to it for convenience and so you can compare across languages.

Making a few updates to Daily Akari this week! Right now the share message is always in English, but I was wondering if the language should change based on the language setting. Or maybe there should be a separate setting for the share message language? 🤔

There have been so many Daily Akari submissions recently (Around 6 every day 🤯). And the quality of the submissions is very high. It's getting so difficult to choose which ones to show.

Sorry everyone, there was a bug with Sunday's puzzle. the puzzle was originally a harder submission by 700kPC but it got overwritten by a newer submission. I fixed the bug so it shouldn't happen again. We'll show it in a couple weeks instead!

Aug. 21 is "World QR Code Day" and it's also my birthday, so I thought it was a perfect fit for the QR code puzzle that was submitted. I was surprised to find that you can read QR codes even through Daily Akari's UI.

Aug. 21 is "World QR Code Day" and it's also my birthday, so I thought it was a perfect fit for the QR code puzzle that was submitted. I was surprised to find that you can read QR codes even through Daily Akari's UI.

Originally the "Premiere" label was a special case when we would show a puzzle that had never been seen before. Now with all the help from your puzzle submissions it has become more normal for a while, so I'm considering removing that label🤔

We've been getting a lot of puzzle submissions lately, so I've needed to be more selective. I've been trying to increase difficulty throughout the week, but I might need to abandon that in order to show all the most interesting puzzle submissions quicker.

Starting to work on a new project soon so probably won't be able to make any big Daily Akari updates for a while. Hope to continue working on it more in the future!
