I am glad I deleted Insta off my phone. Haven't been on Facebook for years. I am familiar with tech companies and how they behave, I used to work for a few of them. I do believe that these powerful founders are mostly unaware of the negative impacts their products have.

We love going to (any) local zoos. My toddler loved being so up close with Mr. Giraffe, his all time favorite mammal. I know putting them in cages isn't ideal, they deserve better than some football field-sized area. But, is supporting what's already an establishment of the local economy so bad?
