PTX3 is elevated in asthmatics, but in a type 2–low asthma mouse model, PTX3 knockout worsened disease with more neutrophilia, IL-17A, IgE, and AHR. PTX3 appears protective, not pathogenic.

Deleting TSLPR in chronic HDM asthma lowered AHR and cut IL-4/IL-13 + HDM-IgE but eosinophils, mucus, and collagen didn’t budge 🤷‍♂️.
