The difference between SCOTUK and SCOTUS isn't degree of politicisation, it's transparency.

British judges don't cease to have political biases the instant they park their behinds on the bench, it simply becomes forbidden to notice them.

Yes, magnetic tape may be cheaper and more future-proof, but can Elon do a ctrl-f delete on it without getting out of his chair?

Clearly an upgrade.

"Professor Stock said that she became more cautious in her expression of gender critical views as a result of the policy."

LMAO. As though Stock has ever had a thought which she didn't feel the need to immediately voice.

👇 Like Section 28, transphobic lawfare has wrought infinitely more harm through inspiring fear of legal action than it's achieved through actually proceeding with it.

Don't help them by exaggerating the threat.
What I think is really important to note about this is how creating fear so that people self censor or stop helping trans people is literally part of what GCs are trying to do! Don't help them! We don't want some doctors to start refusing to help out of fear Gillick has or will go!
People who catastrophise about Gillick having been thrown out are going to sew a lot of confusion about the law in the UK. It's really important to listen to legal experts on these topics and not panic.

Conservatives do desperately want to destroy Gillick but the court of appeal isn't about to.
