Science, music, travel and opaque jokes. I prefer "progressive liberal" to "lefty".

I don't follow back people who push Crypto.
If you're really desperate to know more you can ready my autobiography..
Watching the rather excellent documentary series - "1971, the year that music changed everything". Given the current global political situation I just wonder where all the protest songs are? Or has The Man got the charts under his thumb now? #protest

Copy Rugby. Ball goes out, or something stops play, stop the clock. No extra time, just play until the ball goes dead when time has run out. BBC News - Could a stopped clock end time-wasting in football?

Will a stopped clock end time-wasting in football?
Would a game of two halves of 30 minutes, with the watch stopped when the ball is out, really improve football?

Can someone tell Trump that if he wants to sue the BBC he has to prove he didn't incite the riot. Which he may find difficult. #trump #bbc

Where are these £914 flags coming from? Surely they're no more than a couple of quid in the tourist shops?

Another phrase, and indeed word, I don't think I've heard before.

After feeling smug ripping down a St George's flag on a motorway bridge on last week's bike ride, today's score was 3 Union Jacks (and getting honked at by a white van) on two different bridges. I'm going to keep track now.. #flags #reform

Found a St George's flag on a bridge over a busy dual carriageway this morning. No one about so I ripped it down and got honked at by a few cars, either in favour of what I was doing or against, not sure.

I respect a flag when I know who put it up and why, this one failed on both counts.

The conference feels like that of a big party - but retains the insurgency vibe that the party is seeking to channel.

Wondering if there's a German, or possibly Japanese word for the constant, slightly stressful feeling one experiences when watching a film with someone else holding the remote.
