My favorite Venezuelan ska band - Don Khumalo. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have a dementia-addled dictator interfering in your country’s affairs. But then I guess it’s the same as it ever was with the U.S.

This band didn’t want to do a July 4th show because “no one would be there because they’re hanging with their families.” And then they did a show on Halloween at a 21+ over bar for free. Great business plan. Okay…I’m done.
I just found out that the band I quit because I didn’t want to pay my own money, out of pocket, to drive 2,000 miles round trip to play for free…did just that. Solid business plan. I’m amused endlessly and so happy to be away from this toxic “whatever it is.”

Rob & Michele Reiner's murder feels like a personal loss, despite not knowing them.
Regardless of facts or speculation, it's horrific and tragic. I think it's safe to say-given his activism-that advocating for universal health care including mental health would be one way to honor this couple.
