Thanks for the tip! Saw a walkthru and would dare to do the mod myself, some day. For now I'd experiment more with what I got, i.e. tracked mount and telescope.
Have fun to test out your astromodded D5300 then. I'm curious about the results, as well. Make sure to post some, please!

Just a first humble step at astrophotography and image stacking. Still much to learn. Not even used a telescope here, just an old DSLR laying around, as I've decided rather spontaneously, back in January / February.
