I read an article about how Bluesky is losing users and how people are becoming hateful instead of having healthy discussions and debates.
Wasn't Bluesky intended to encourage HEALTHY discussions and debates??? Why bring hate here, why hate others for their own perspectives?

I know what my Medicaid program is called in Missouri. Do you know what yours is called? I'll bet that millions of Americans who have state health care do not realize that they are on MEDICAID. This is important - to read and to know what your ins is.

Let’s get something clear. The GOP has the power to keep the government from shutting down in March. They control both chambers of Congress and the White House. If they can’t reach a budget deal within their own ranks, that completely on them.

Many podcasts that I wish had transcripts so that the Deaf community can also learn things from various podcasts. Some talk about how this or that happened and why - but I don't see any articles referring to that topic, for example - so I get to remain clueless! And so do the others who are deaf.

Awww, Purple's pouting because no more lovely clumps of snowflakes coming down. It's becoming nearly white out conditions outside, can't really see the snow itself coming down, it's just white. Visibility is still okayish, I can still see the tree.

Today's a big winter storm hitting my area, becoming white out visibility. I am grateful to have a warm home with a funny cat. My thoughts are with everyone affected by the winter storm and upcoming polar vortex!!! Be safe, be warm, and don't do anything worthy of a Darwin's Award, please!!

Today, I was thinking about what I can help readers with and I realized that I tend to focus on positive/optimism types of chatter when I make posts of any kind (of course, there's outliers, but). So for today, I'm delighted that I got to give 5 people compliments and made them all smile!!

How will they rebuild their homes? They likely don't have the funds to even MOVE to a "safer" area! And the insurance rates?!?!?! To clarify - I do not speak of the wealthy who chose to have homes in these areas, as second homes or whatnot.

I am absolutely appalled by the fact that the "federal govt" is trying to put CONDITIONS on giving AID to California due to those horrible wildfires!!! My gosh!! California pays out so much, yet receives so little. I feel so sad for the residents who are working class and/or low income, etc!!!

If the Orange Moron does not expedite the federal aid to California when he takes office, then he's way way more of a moron than I believed was even possible.
Without California, a lot of things will happen that will hurt the Moron. Unfortunately, it'll also hurt the PEOPLE, TOO.

I am APPALLED at the fact that Trump AND the GOP do not appear to be willing to help California out.
California is a BIG contributor to the US's GDP. Nearly 15%. 4% alone from the LA area. They get very little federal aid compared to other states!
