We've gotten an estimate, and it's $6k. Still cheaper than buying a brand new car, but FAR beyond our current means.
I do have some VO work coming up that'll cover a good chunk of it, but the payment is still a ways out.

Update:

Hello loves 🥲 I am very wheelchair reliant and we’ve been paying for fixes on this car out of pocket since we got it— one blow after another. Today it hit the point where the damn thing stalled on the road while we were driving.
