The BBC has confirmed it won’t air its documentary on Gaza’s medics. I know some of the journalists involved and they’re absolutely excellent. This statement is mealy-mouthed; you can’t “both sides” the facts on the ground of a genocide, and there’s a clear public interest in documenting those facts

On our return journey from Sweden, the lady next to me said how nice it was that I was spending time with my grandson. OK, I'm 56 & he's 14 but he's my SON. In other news, I'm questioning my decision to stop dyeing my hair.

I’m so sad to say that a fellow follower on the bird place has reported that @timcyclesthecoast.bsky.social has died. He struggled with his mental health for a long time & I hope he is at peace. I admired his honesty & his stick-with-it-ness more than I can tell.

What worries me most is not that some leaders are stumbling blindly into a 1930s scenario but that they seem to be going there deliberately and willingly.

If you see a teacher grading with a stack of papers next to them several inches high, do not talk to them.
Do not approach them. Unless it is to silently replenish food and drink.
And whatever you do, do not ask if they are done yet.

We were doing a lesson on Victorian Inventions today & the starter involved the children (P4) having 3 minutes to create an invention for their pick of 6 scenarios. One was something that allowed you to see through walls & doors & we had pics of various x-ray & heat-seeking headsets 1/2
