Wizardry and most DRPGs I feel have a lot in common with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and extraction shooters. To the point where its interesting we dont have a fantasy game that is like STALKER or Tarkov, insofar that it simulates the minutia of the survival and also the danger of gathering the loot itself.

Monster Hunter Wilds left me needing more Monster Hunter. I've done nothing but play various MH games for the past couple weeks now. It's all I can think about. Help.

Finished Shining Resonance Refrain. A game that while fun probably would've made for a better anime rather than a game. Running through the same areas over and over got tiring. But the combat music and characters pushed me through. Over all enjoyable experience.

Finished Game of the Year 4: Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. Been sitting on finishing this one ever since it came out. There's simply too much content at every turn, and while the combat itself is much improved over Hollow Fragment, the game itself fails to recreate the fun of it.

Currently I'm working through Shining in the Darkness, Shining Resonance Refrain, and Golden Sun. Holding out hope that after beating SitD and GS that I grow to really like Camelot but over 10 hours in both and enjoy them but they're not as amazing as their inspirations. SRR though has been great.

This years game cleared list is already started. I've been broke paying bills n such so still just working through my backlog. Started the year of strong finally finishing Chrono Trigger, but I think the game I had the most fun with so far was Strangers of Paradise.

It's been a minute since I posted, so time to get back to it.

I rounded out last year finishing another 7 games after Lost Odyssey. For a total of 43. Yes I do include MMO expansions, especially if they have a credit scroll.

Nearing the end of Lost Odyssey. I finished FF13 before it and I'm finding it hard to agree with the old sentiment that LO is the real FF13. It feels almost too derivative of past FF narratives to be a true FF game, though it is beautiful. The real irony is like FF13 it also asks you to read a lot.

Decided this year I'd knock more games off my "backlog", a term I just use for the amorphous amalgamation of games I feel like playing, because of all the rhetoric over the last couple years of gaming being "dead". I enjoyed all 35 of these games. Gaming is more alive now than ever.
