I tried to get the menu in the arcade to fetch the character walk-sprite, & have it display (large) in the portrait area. (So I can skip making art.)
HowEVER... it's scaling up to be blurred (unable to fix it).
So, going to continue adding artwork there for each playable character. 😅

So! Been heavily focused on optimization. Added a performance monitor to keep better track of what's taking up resources at any moment.📈

I set up a bunch of menus for the False Arcade! 🔨
A shop to buy items,
a portrait menu,
a calendar (possibly to log daily progress in-game),
and a menu to read ChangeLog/Updates & see status on future releases. 🎮

Have barely been making progress (or surviving) though, due to extreme heat.💦
Not confident I can start posting regularly again at the moment. So I suppose I'll post when I'm about to release something playable.🙏

Set up a magazine stand with covers that you can (sort of) flip. XD
For any game-content or concept I want to put in that's simple and just requires reading. (Like a one-scene Visual Novel.)
If it becomes complex and has gameplay, I put it in the Arcade Machine next to it. 👾

I've just learned about CMOS battery and realized I had been getting errors for many months about it. Whenever I would boot my PC it would say to replace the CMOS battery in the motherboard. 🤔
So I'm going to get a new battery, replace it, and see if that improves anything.
