I hope the success of Unicorn Overlord makes
SEGA have a think about their other excellent strategy RPGs like Shining Force, Valkyria Chronicles, Dragon Force, Sakura Wars etc instead of trying to turn them into action games or abandoning them entirely

I think it's a mistake when games start you out with the absolute worst mech/car/skills because it gives them the idea that the game is going to be slower, have worse controls or less variety. Give them something cool for the first mission and then let them work back to that.

I don't know how much of a gamedev community there is here yet, especially for visual novels but let's give it a shot
