my hyakunin isshu book arrived!!! it has translations and explanations of all 100 poems! i’m gonna reread chihayafuru plus now with it as reference :3 maybe i can even all of read chihayafuru in japanese!!

why are all the japanese fiction i’m finding recently a collection of short stories or like, each chapter is about a different encounter?!?!!!!? and it’s always 5 lol why is it so hard to find books that are just one cohesive story without being broken up like that
