it genuinely sucks that basically nothing on the internet works well anymore. search? barely works. social media? filled with garbage engagement-bait designed to game the algorithm. news websites? pages that refresh at random or so covered in video ads that it’s impossible to read stories

I’m pretty sure studying art is different from actively taking it through a machine, then claiming it as your own. The difference between writing and photography is that there’s an actual human creating the work.

AI art is lazy slop since it directly takes data from actual art without the artist’s consent or knowledge, and compiles that data into a visual abomination without having to do any of the hard work that art requires. It’s generative.
