Today I was in a meeting of twelve people, two of whom were women. (Fairly typical ratio, unfortunately.) Me and the other woman were wearing the Exact. Same. Shirt. Positively surreal.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays the lady who feeds the birds in the lot across our street every single day for no discernible reason.

I happened to read Derrick Bell's short story "The Space Traders" yesterday without remembering why it was in my queue. Couldn't be a more perfect weekend to stumble into it. Highly recommended reading.
