Other place refugee.

Trying to reduce the amount of right wing nonsense that enters my ears and eyes. Hanging on to the 90s by my finger tips.

Shropshire. AVFC. Indie, Old School Hip Hop & Jungle.
I did a lot of my Christmas shopping last weekend and was quite pleased with it.

But this is what really pisses me off!

Two days after buying 3 items from this shop as part of their Black Friday bollocks they pull this out of their arse.

More of a Twitter pointless moan I know but I had high hopes for the return of the Sunday Supplement on Sky Sports.

Alas it’s reverted to type and 90% of the talk is on the same usual 6 clubs, regardless of any actual news around them.

14 other clubs in the league that Sky pay so much to cover!

Anyway. It’s a Villa day so all is well.

Up The European Villa!

The mainstream pre & post budget, and actually all UK political commentary is unwatchable.

It’s all framed by who loses from a policy rather than the wider benefits.

We end up with 10am vox pops from ‘spoons in Walsall rather than proper analysis.

It’s cheap, lazy and drives anger.

This is the only post budget analysis paid attention to.

Loved the point about 2nd order effects, and everything being measured by accounting rather than economics.

The whole spectacle of this is a farce even before the budget was leaked ahead of the actual chancellor announcing it.

The country is a shambles but I blame 95% of that on the Tories.

Whatever is in the budget, Badenoch will call on someone to resign today.

Triffic stuff Villa.

Top 4 looked a long way off after our suboptimal start.

No doubt that #AVFC will turn it around in the second half.

This referee though.

I’ve written to my Labour MP for the 1st time ever.

I’m done with them unless there is a drastic change of direction, sadly that’ll only happen with a change of leadership.

When your policies are celebrating by far right scum, you have to ask what is the point?

I’ve voted Labour all of my life.

It’s incredible that the Government have managed themselves into a U-turn on something that they hadn’t actually done.

I overheard a phone call between my elderly uncle and my mum (on speaker).

“We should the army in to sort this out” he says about the train stabbings.

Not sure where we should the army to however.

“Never getting a train again”

I thought it was young people who were the snowflakes.

Why is Andy Hinchcliffe on everything?

There’s 4 matches on at the same time on Sky and yet as ever we have Andy Hinchcliffe.

I find Dan Roan of the BBC insufferable at the best of times but the framing of this is shit.

Everything around this match has been biased and uneven.

I also expect Starmer, Nandy and Badenoch label Villa antisemitic for winning the match in a couple of weeks time.

I know Leicester City had a firm called the ‘Baby Squad’ but this taking the piss.
The chances that Robert Jenrick *literally* went to "more than a few football matches in the away end" at Villa Park *in the 1980s* (ie, before his 8th birthday on 8.1.1990) are vanishingly small to non-existent. (He may have been in the away end at Villa Park as a child or teenager in the 1990s)
