This is the most energetic and energizing series of events on the floor of a legislative body that I have seen in decades, maybe ever, when the youngest MP in New Zealand’s parliament rose to perform Māori Haka, shredding a right-wing bill that considers tribal rights “reverse racism”.
Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clark, New Zealand’s youngest MP, passionately rises to address Parliament by singing the Haka, holding a paper in one hand. Her expression is fierce and determined.
