One of the things that's interesting about this is that we've stigmatized "public housing" (and perhaps public goods more broadly) that the policymakers here feel a need to run away from calling it what it is. It's "social housing" now.

People love to say that if there’s a right, there is a remedy. The contrapositive of that means that if there’s no remedy, there is no right. Anyway, that’s a fancy way of saying that you have no right not to be gratuitously curbstomped by federal agents.
