Had someone ask me once why I love baseball. Baseball is a metaphor for life. It teaches you so much about life. Accepting failure, building mental toughness, working with others especially those that irritate you, finding your own comfort in life. Baseball isn't just a sport to me, it's truly life.

Say it with me, we need more female voices in leading roles in commentary booths across every level of Baseball. Loved that last year's (very tentative, first steps) MLB games broadcast by the BBC had Melanie Newman in the leading seat for the UK.

My mom told me that today she helped pay for this couple's breakfast while she was at work. Turns out this couple was struggling because they had premature baby. My mom reached out to her bosses at her hospital and they got them food vouchers, 5 days in a hotel, and a 100 Mastercard for other needs.

Found out some distressing news a little while ago: a former friend of mine who haven't seen in nearly 15 years but spoke on Facebook last in like 2020 or 2021, was arrested earlier this year for strangulation, drunken/disorderly conduct, and lewd/lascivious behavior. Was not expecting that but oof!
