I think it is fascinating the misconceptions about psychoanalysis via John Thor Cornelius's analysis. The residents he asked about psychoanalysis claimed there is no evidence for it, whereas I have read many articles showing similar amounts of evidence as CBT. @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social

Wright et al. (2016) article about computerised cognitive behavioral therapy for depression in adolescents was interesting. However, I wonder about the ethical considerations taken into account when implementing CCBT for adolescents with depression in general. @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social

In Shedler (2015), I found it interesting when he suggested that a strong emphasis on 'statistical significance' in research may indicate that something important is being hidden. Before reading this, I hadn't fully considered the literal meaning of this term. @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social

I understand the appeal of sharing notes with therapy patients, yet, I wonder how this changes the candor and authenticity of the therapist's notes knowing their patients will read what they wrote. I also worry about patients with anxiety about perception of themselves. @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social
