My daughter has three 30 minute zoom sessions between 10 and 1:30. I wish they’d have them all back to back instead of dragging them out.

I’ve been a Tomlin guy, but the team shortcomings have been consistent for years now. It’s the same regardless of QB/OC. The flaws are by design. You can’t win a championship in the NFL with a low-risk/safe offense and D that needs splash plays. If they’re down by more than one score, they’re done.

I don’t disagree that their message can be convoluted, but what you’re proposing isn’t so easy either. That is based on both sides being honest and factual. One spends as much time refuting the lies as it does trying to push its message, and things get lost/muddled.

Sorry, I’ve heard this one before. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I know. I’ll just refer to my original comment

I know what you’re saying, but for social media, have a TOS and enforce it. Honestly, my standards for social media and the world are the same…just don’t be an a$$hole. The problem is on social media people don’t fear the consequences of saying the same thing in public, or to a person’s face

I think it’s more a commentary on what Bluesky was in the beginning and the promise it presented, and what it is (or is in danger of) becoming…not his technological capabilities. Those tools are there for a reason. Optimistically, you have to use them sparingly.

they tried to tell their followers that Trump would be terrible for the people of Palestine. That is what I mean by those voters being narrowminded and shortsighted. Harris showed a willingness to listen and work with them. With the steaks so high for Gaza and everything else, that wasn’t enough.

Politicians absolutely need to listen to their constituents. At that time, the majority of Dems did not support Israel, but among Dems/Ind it was still fairly even. Harris did speak with Uncommitted, but since they didn’t get EVERYTHING they wanted, they didn’t endorse her. At the same time,

And that thinking was so shortsighted and narrow minded that it still baffles me, especially when you consider the alternative of Trump and his relationship with Israel, and Netanyahu in particular. Did they really think Trump would be better for Gaza, or was it just to “send a message to the Dems”?

Ah. Gotcha. I’m not a lawyer, so take this for what it’s worth. I’ve always understood it to be individually applicable, hence why they have to say it each time. I would think from a lawyer’s perspective that can certainly be problematic compared to a blanket approach.

Did you watch the video? He answered the first question about socializing with him, but he didn’t answer the second one.

The messaging surrounding the tariffs and his budget bill are crucial. People need to understand that they are paying more for things and they are not getting anything more in return. In fact, they are having more and more critical things stripped away.
July 10, 2025 at 7:23 PM
I see what you were saying, and it does make sense. The problem is that the message needs to get across that regardless of what the actual percentage increase is for the consumer, it is still going to be more than what they were paying before.
July 10, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Right, but they will be passed on. Think of the housing industry alone; copper pipes and fittings, copper wiring for electricity. Prices have already been going up due to tariffs; initially anticipatory, but now in direct response. That doesn’t even touch electronic devices that contains copper

Now, whether or not a regime change is wise, and if a new, more extreme leader may rise in place of the current leadership, is another question

Folks…plenty to be outraged about on this topic, but Bill didn’t write this article, and it isn’t even from the Bulwark. It says nothing about American troops fighting in Iran. It does mention, among other things, economic and political sanctions to put cracks the regime and Iran’s people.

Awesome experience for you with your boys. Have you been to PNC Park in Pittsburgh yet? If not, visit, and then I'm curious where it would rank on your list.

It’s a great feat, so let’s make sure it’s being described as such. Nobody has scored more goals than Ovechkin, but to say nobody has done it more frequently is inaccurate. Ovechkin is seventh on the career goals/game list

I read that as business leaders giving the most polite pushback possible against an administration that they are hoping will grant exceptions to their respective companies

Traditional process is now considered by the far right/MAGA to be establishment or Deep State tactics. They’ve been convinced there’s only one man who can make change and “save” America. What it previously meant to have conservative views is no longer the case. Some are still soul searching..

After reading the article, it sounds like he’s speaking as someone that still has faith in the institutions and checks and balances. Should the courts act brazenly politically, or Trump ignores court orders without repercussions, I’d be interested to see what he says then
