More Meryl and Milly thoughts. What would she do with the cup full of Roberto's cigarettes... Milly is very thoughtful, so she won't mention it, but Meryl becomes hyperaware of how she basically lived in a crypt for the past 2 years as she sees Milly sit right in front of the evidence...

More Meryl and Milly thoughts. What would she do with the cup full of Roberto's cigarettes... Milly is very thoughtful, so she won't mention it, but Meryl becomes hyperaware of how she basically lived in a crypt for the past 2 years as she sees Milly sit right in front of the evidence...
It gives such a raw edge to their boke-tsukkomi dynamic. The sense of doom that hangs over Meryl. She will have to protect Milly. She will have to have courage to lay her own life for it. That's what her derringer means.
I can already tell stargaze won't be exploring the angle of Meryl taking Roberto's place. But you can pry the headcanon of Meryl being overly protective and downright neurotic abt her cute newbie from my cold dead hands.
