They’re falling behind in school, emotionally adrift, and turning to the darker corners of the internet for identity and meaning.

As someone who’s taught hundreds of boys—and as a father—I believe something vital is missing.

I can’t help but feel that we’re living through a monumental time. The world is changing so rapidly that even 20 years ago seems like another age. Yet, in this time of profound transformation, when strong leadership and vision are needed most, 1/5

Every system of cultivation has its scholars and its mystics, and they are often at odds with each other. The scholar scoffs at the madness of the mystic, and the mystic laments the scholar’s dryness and lack of embodiment. 1/7

A really good advice (read the whole thread) for younger men here.

I often insisted that I am able to do what I do now (at 46) because I explored the whole gamut of very “mundane” experiences in my 20s till my mid 30s.

It’s a fundamental step.

Sometimes, young men reach out to me on social media, asking how they can become better versions of themselves. Many feel lost and want to reclaim a sense of masculinity. They often ask whether the internal arts are a good way to find meaning. 1/3

Doesn’t matter how many correspondences you know. If you haven’t developed the quality of your mind and your energy system. Nothing will ever work beyond your imagination. 🙂

Going to start using this more. Hopefully doesn’t go the way of some of the other social media platforms. 🙂

There is a great confusion when people see those they regard as meditation teachers or cultivation teachers voicing strong opinions on politics or the state of the world. “I enjoy your posts on cultivation and spirituality,” they say. “Stick to that.”
