I took several months off from working on the game but I've been back at it since April.

Yeah so that comparison post is not going to happen for a while. As I continue remaking the Mega Man object, I'm realizing that I have to redo the entire game since it's easier than modifying the existing game to accommodate the new code.

This project is really pushing my patience and perseverance.

Two weeks and 170 animation frames later and I think I've finally finished making all of Mega Man's new sprites.

I've already made progress on adding them into the game, but only about 100 or so.

Once the new #megaman object is ready I'll post a comparison video here.

I just realized I accidentally saved my pause menu document with a bunch of layers saved. All the individual assets are now missing or gone because they're either erased or masked out.

Just made a full body sprite of Mega Man for my fan game. Since I plan on using it for a "weapon get" screen, here's a preview of the color variants for each weapon.

Art progress from 2022-2024 while working on my fan game.

I used to be afraid of large sprites with lots of colors, but I think I've finally gotten over that fear now.

2022 sprite: 38x38, 9 colors
2024 sprite: 65x60, 19 colors

Recently I redid all of Mega Man's animations for my fan game, and it went really well, but implementing them caused/revealed so many bugs that it made me realize I just need to redo Mega Man all together.

That's over two years of code and animations completely scrapped.

You can tell I'm thrilled.
