Atlas Fountain, Castle Howard 📍

Sculpted in 1853 the fountain is named after the Greek Titan Atlas, who was condemned to hold up the heavens for eternity. The sculpture depicts Atlas carrying the celestial sphere on his shoulders, while four tritons blow water from conch shells to cool him down.
