When I was a kid, around 1,800,000 people died every year of tuberculosis. Now, around 1,250,000 do.

That's important progress. But at this current rate, it'll take a CENTURY to push TB deaths much below 500,000 per year. That's totally unacceptable for a curable, preventable disease.

I'm doing final edits on Everything Is Tuberculosis, and I can't stop adding stuff. I spent 3 years on the book, but I am not done. I must mention the tongue swab tests. I must let you know about the new app made in Lesotho that aids in contact tracing. Also did you know about the Adirondack Chair.
