The Government said it’d cost £99bn to publicly own our water.

But this figure is based on a report paid for by… the water companies.

The true cost is closer to zero.

After they reduce county games (Champ, 50ov or T20) using the (valid) argument of player workload, they will overfill the schedule again with the games they want.

100% win the FA Cup over any European qualification. Clubs have so little to win, and the achievement and memories of winning a trophy lasts forever.

FA Cup or Champions League qualification - which means more?
As Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Man City play in the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, what's more important - a trophy or a place in the Champions League?

A few photos from today's @hallamfc1860.bsky.social semi final win. Our centre backs immense today in particular but credit to the whole team in getting the win 💙

Fantastic to see us playing in green again for the Blast. And the Blaze kit is lovely.

Well, fortunately I've forgotten that game already, but 3 points I guess. No lack of effort, just a leggy performance and not the fluent attacking football we've been used to. But a clean sheet, a win, and we look secure for play offs. Bravo. Now for the big semi final on Tuesday.

I was there that day, on the Bridgford. Had no idea what had happened.
Today’s the anniversary of The Greatest Goal Of The 90s.

We’re not talking about Yeboah, Baggio, or Weah.

Instead, I present to you: Gary Crosby at the City Ground, 1990.

You sneaky little shithouse.

One of the most complete @hallamfc1860.bsky.social performances I've seen at Sandygate since we started going n 2016. Fantastic performance against the league leaders, now we've got a settled squad things really are coming together. Thought Lipka in particular today was outstanding.

My 12 year old son loves cricket - mostly because of me - barely any of his friends have a clue about it. To watch professional cricket is an hour's drive to either Yorkshire, Derbys, or Notts too.

Often think I'm in the minority as I don't really care about the referee's performance. Decisions go for you, and against. Just the way it is. I'm amazed people do it, if they didn't they'd be no game.

Of course this problem isn’t new, but the recent levels of vitriol directed towards referees across Europe could drive more of them out of football

Enjoyed it at the City Ground tonight. Can't complain at a second home draw against a top side. Man City at home next in the league - would happily take a third draw!

Season tickets for @trentbridge.co.uk sorted for another season for me, Joe, and Mrs Outlaw. With tickets also sorted for the Zimbabwe test, and T20 Finals Day, a good summer awaits. Quietly confident too 🤞

A few years ago I thought there's no point in 50 over cricket these days. But I'm the absolute opposite now. I love both T20 and CC, but with the Metro Bank Cup I've grown to really enjoy it again, and this Champions Trophy has me engaged.

Superb wild camp last night. Not too cold and out of the wind. Left no trace as always.

Looking forward to going to Bottesford this weekend, a Hallam away day is always good but I'm sure that when we went last season the pie (or was it a burger) was top notch!

That's essentially it for Alex Hales at Notts. Whilst it was time, he should be remembered as both a fantastic red and white ball player for the club, with some truly great innings. Wish him all the best in the twilight of his career.
