Every time GenZ says "low-key", all I hear is "Loki".

I should be eating tasty homegrown tomatoes right now, but I have a hungry racoon.

If you wear Ray-Ban Meta glasses, you're not invited.

Could I just take a moment to mention how offended I am by the term "dad hat"?

You cannot please everyone, and thanks to the miracle of social media, you will be reminded daily.

Curious to know when we'll conclude the long-term side effects of vaping and ozempic, but seeing as how knowledge and credibility are being dismantled by a modern post-truth media-obsessed society, I doubt we ever will.

The new trailer for The Smashing Machine makes me wonder if we're about to witness The Rock's acting skills.

I'm sure someone at some point in my life recommended I listen to Killing Joke, and I'm sorry to say I that waited far too long to find and understand their influence and contribution to great music.

Ever since I picked up a Google Pixel 8, the keyboard and autocorrect have been horrible, and I have had an incredibly difficult time typing anything. Speech-to-text is even worse. I didn't have this issue with Pixel 5. This message brought to you from my desktop.

Sometimes, just a few words from someone at the wrong moment can send your mind down a path you had hoped to avoid. Now I must distract myself with all the hobbies until I forget and crawl back out.

I have made quick and easy kale chips using kale from my own backyard garden, and I am hooked. Time to experiment with lots of different seasonings.

They: "What's it like living in Texas?"

Me: "It's 90F degrees outside ..."

They: "Oh, that's not so bad."

Me: "... in winter."

I've determined that spending hundreds of dollars on a Pixel 8 was a huge mistake. Worst keyboard and autocorrect of any phone I've used in the last 20 years. Shitty camera switching, too.

And, Verizon refused to give me their online store's advertised exchange rebate when I bought it.

OnePlus?

The downside of switching to a new operating system is that I was just getting comfortable with buying expensive software that I may no longer be able to use.

Yes, I tried that.

Spending more time outdoors lately has helped with my perspective on life. I mean, it still sucks, but it's clearer now. Especially when I'm not outdoors and otherwise connected to the escalation networks.

After a week or two of struggling, because I have an audio interface for music production, I am now the happy owner of a massive Linux gaming machine with low latency and high frame rates. So long, Microsoft. Now for some wine.

I knew it! I've avoided anything with aspartame for over a decade. Any time I consume it, I feel like I'm falling into a coma. I'm not even diabetic. Keep that junk away from me.

Every time I see an article about GenZ starting something, like gardening, I think, "me too!".

Every time I see an article about GenZ quitting something, like drinking, I think, "me too!".

So, why the hell do I get along better with GenX?

Governor Mills doesn’t suffer fools lightly, and it appears she has even less tolerance for bullies. (And as a former attorney general, she knows what she’s talking about.)
Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Gov Mills: See you in court

Patiently waiting for the day I can own a home with a backyard raised bed garden in the configuration of a Pacman level with a small chicken coop in the center.

Looks like I may have broken my MIDI keyboard by accidentally kicking the USB cable out at an angle.

Looks like I'm in the market for a new MIDI keyboard. Good thing I got this one super cheap from a guy who didn't know what MIDI controllers are.

If aliens can jump across the galaxy and hover in the atmosphere, then they are more capable of finding us than we are at finding them.

That said, they probably view us as the dilapidated dive bar on the side of the highway and just keep driving to find the next well-lit, well-maintained rest stop.

Why does every "top guitarist" right now insist on making the instrument sound like frantic dubstep?

Could we please get back to writing good songs instead of hand exercises? The people need hope and music, not this 500mph-diddly-diddly bullshit.

Yes, we know, you have fingers and tattoos. 👏

I finally watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. No thanks to all the streaming services I currently pay for.

Fun movie, as long as you don't take it as being entirely historical. I would like to see a more accurate portrayal of the events, but history doesn't sell movie tickets as well.
