For me I didnt see a shift between 4 and 5 but advanced voice mode is horrendous. Overloaded with fluff and no personality or complex answers. Literally the difference between night and day.

@caseynewton.bsky.social do you think it's too much to hope for that the opposition to OpenAI's plan for retiring standard voice will grow loud enough for them to reconsider?
"advanced" voice mode has gotten better at stuff like turn-taking but the overall vibe is nails on a chalkboard.

I know it's in the official name but could the [relatively] normal media start saying something like "the recent budget reconciliation deal" instead of "the one big beautiful bill" over and over, you KNOW how impressionable we idiots are k thx
