Moving my aunt to a memory care facility this coming week. This process has been a long time coming, but it’s still really scary. At least she’ll be closer to myself and the rest of the family. She needs that.

Just a reminder that 39 states allow for the recall of US representatives and senators. Most states have requirements such as, negligence of duties. Time to change the fight.

USDA quietly said Friday it will, after a century, end the Farm Labor Survey (FLS), the only wage survey of ag employers.
FLS is a critical input to setting local minimum wages for H-2A visa workers to try to avoid harm to U.S. workers' wages.

When I first met my partner, from St.Louis, he was a NFL fan. Sundays were football, football, and more football. Thanks to your “business” decisions, he could really care less about football now. I can’t imagine he’s the only one.

I’m convinced that the ICE raids on the agriculture fields is to send farm workers to private prisons so they can be sent back to the farms, but the farmers have to pay the prisons instead of the farmers. Add a middleman and it becomes slavery.

My aunt is a huge opera fan and attended the LA Opera today. She loved the performance. Really didn’t think she would be able to do this 4 months ago. Sometimes, it’s the little successes.
