Folks, a website is not the same thing as a town you live in or an ancestral piece of land you fight for because it's yours. A site is a service. You don't keep eating at a restaurant that gives you the runs or shop at a store who rung up false charges on your credit card.

The book I'm reading, Interpreting Anime, names Akira as the first "modern" anime, one that set the standards for animation from 1989 onwards, showed what was possible, appealed to teenagers and young adults, and introduced the genre more broadly to the west.

I'll say this on my main, but I'll repeat it. The ownership of Twitter doesn't get to call a mulligan on making child porn featuring altered images of real kids. You don't get to go "oopsie" and backtrack. The userbase let them do that with the Hitler stuff, and this is what we got instead.
