Unpopular opinion. If New Orleans really wants to save money then we should stop hosting massive events. A tiny bit of research will show that events do not generate economic growth. It is a socially draining industry, not worth public investment.

People want to be right so badly that you can’t tell them anything. They argue and argue. It’s amazing adults are so ridiculous. I didn’t fully understand the advice to keep your mouth closed to learn until I was older, but it is excellent advice.

I read an article years ago about Jimmy Buffett being accused of trafficking a girl from Florida to an island and her family being silenced due to immigration issues. He is on the Epstein list and Tim McGraw slapped a woman at a concert. I want people to remember these things.

I went to Ray’s PeGe in Monroe today. I was disappointed. Danken Trail did NOT let me down. CJ’s in Russellville had great service, fries, and pickles. The meat was salty.

Whatever happened to the hustlers who used to charge you $10 cash to fix a little chip in your windshield? They had some type of liquid. I have been carrying around cash for months waiting for one to approach me in a parking lot.

A 50 year mortgage is a mechanism to eliminate actual home ownership. People will work their entire lives for all their work to be foreclosed by a bank. It is like predatory credit cards, never intended to be paid off.

I am watching Love at First Sight. Everyone who goes on that show needs to know that understanding what concepts mean to each other is critical. Intimate relationships are difficult. Also, compatibility is not attraction. Friendship is not the most important thing to all couples.

I ran across a COVID era face mask. I had them in so many colors and designs. Looking back, all the anger and fervor about wearing masks over shadowed the reality that we were all living in a pandemic. It doesn’t even seem real now.
