"What does it mean to you to represent your work in India with your Gujurati background?"

India represents my roots. Everything I know about hard work, determination & big dreams came from this background. I want Indians everywhere know that not even the sky is the limit. 🚀🇮🇳👩🏽‍🚀✨️

How wonderful to have met ISRO Gaganaut Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to visit the International Space Station! Shux was incredibly down to Earth, and we had a great conversation about India's future human spaceflight plans. Looking forward to future conversations. Jai hind! 🚀🇮🇳✨️

Happy 25th birthday @Space_Station! Incredible to think there are 25yo alive today who have never known a world without a continuously crewed presence in space, for whom it is totally normal that people just live & work in space! Excited to see what the next decade of human spaceflight brings. 🌎🚀✨️

Such a joy to share the stage with my friends Dr. Mariam Fardous from the @saudispace.bsky.social and Dr. Amelie Schoenenwald from @esa.int this past week during the Karman Project Fellowship Week . Next step...fly a mission together? 🤔

What an honor to be asked to share my closing reflections at the SatSure | Karman Project Gala. Coming to India this week was like coming home & the future of space in India will rest on the diverse array of talent and technology here- fueled by imagination & cooperation. 🚀🇮🇳

"Can you tell us about your astronaut journey?"

This was my favorite audience question at The Karman Project meet and greet with our SatSure hosts to date. Here are the things no one tells you when you are assigned to a spaceflight:

How extraordinary to be living in an era where we are limited only by our imagination when it comes to envisioning the breakthroughs that will build the best possible future for humanity. ♥️🚀🏥

What an extraordinary first day here at the @xprize.org Visioneering Session in Malibu. I can't wait to present our space health concept tomorrow, in the hopes of creating a new challenge that can revolutionize a breakthrough in 3D tissue printing for better wound care in space- and on Earth. 🚀🏥✨️

What's in a backflip? A lot, as it turns out! It looks like a lot of fun, but it also lets us test the range of motion of our new biosuits, practice joint microgravity choreography, and get familiar with stabilizing ourselves in microgravity. And it's *definitely* a lot of fun! 👩🏻‍🚀👩🏽‍🚀🦹‍♀️🦹🏽‍♀️🛫🛬🛫

Our IIAS-02 research missions & science campaigns are the product of incredible people & partnerships, from our IIAS ground crew, to our partners at NRC Canada, to the 17 incredible collaborating scientists & 12 payloads we tested in parabolic flight this week...

The IIAS-02 down-select week is here! This week, @spacenorah and I will be testing these payloads in 0g together with our collaborators from all over the world at the National Research Council of Canada to see how these payloads fare in a space-like environment. We can't wait! 👩🏻‍🚀👩🏽‍🚀👩🏻‍🚀🛫🛬🛫🍁

Did you know that astronauts travel in packs called a constellation? That's not true, but it should be! One of the joys of events like the International Astronautical Congress and the Karman Project gala is reuniting with astronaut friends new and old! Same time next year? 🌏👩🏽‍🚀🚀✨️🌌

One of my roles at IAC is sitting on the IAF Human Spaceflight Committee. Since joining last year, I've taken on preparing the annual human spaceflight briefing. One of my favorite highlights this year? Sunita Williams setting a new record spacewalk hours by a woman at 62h06min! ✨️👩🏽‍🚀🚀

It was a pleasure to meet with Western Australian Minister for Regional Development, Ports, Science & Innovation & Medical Research Stephen Dawson (right) to discuss how space-based medical & life sciences research benefits life on Earth. Thanks for hosting us! 🇦🇺🚀

One of the most meaningful parts of this role is what it means to be a Canadian on a global stage. Thank you to the High Commission of Canada to Australia & the Canadian Space Agency for having me speak on my suborbital research work at IIAS & the many synergies between Canada & Australia. 👩🏽‍🚀🚀✨️

Find yourself the kind of life where you wake up in the morning and ask yourself, "do I really get to do this?!" In my case, "this" refers to building an entire research astronautics program (!!).

I don't always do black tie...but when I do, I go all in.

Had a wonderful time at the The Karman Project Space Peace Prize Gala dinner tonight. Amazing endeavors are afoot. 🚀✨️
